Have you ever gone through a situation or season in your life and said, "It is what it is."?
Today I sit down with Associate Director of Fellowship Housing, Amanda Woods. Amanda
shares about how she grew up in the church, but after a family situation wondered what is next for her own faith? She could of just become complacent, but instead God used that time for her to develop her relationship with God and what was to come.
We can do things together to really bring Jesus to our community. We get to bring a piece of heaven to Earth. -Amanda Woods
Amanda also shares her heart about her work at Fellowship Housing which believes single moms are some of the hardest working people on the planet. They have the honor to come alongside them in times of crisis so they can regain stability, break cycles of poverty, and build a new legacy for their families. Amanda has seen transformation for moms and their kids in the program, but also in her heart as well. Please enjoy this parable conversation with Amanda Woods.
Reflection Questions
Amanda gave a couple of options to fight the "It is what it is" feeling. 1. Is this within my control? 2. Being More Faithful 3. How do I build the muscle of waiting? Which of these three would you like to work on this week?
Is there a single mom or someone who needs help right now? Can you take the time to help them today or just sit down and get to know their story?
